Getting Ready For

all the festivities?? I have done my shopping & am readying myself for all the prepping. :) We will be having Thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws so there isn't going to be too much that has to be done. We are planning a home dinner for the weekend with all the trimmings. Now thats when the work will begin. LOL I wanted to share with you a couple of pictures that I took at the in-laws a couple of weeks ago. My MIL has a huge following of turkeys that she feeds. The group has tripled in size since we moved here 4 1/2 years ago. They now even have a couple albino looking turkeys. Also the blue on the turkeys face means they are courting the female turkeys. When we lived next door we loved feeding them every morning. They are gorgeous creatures. My MIL wont let anyone with a gun near them. I am kind of glad. It's nice to have them around & enjoy the beauty they bring us. :) I am wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving Day full of happy memories. Be safe & have fun!

I haven't been on in so long. It has been so busy around the homefront. I have had a few craft fairs going on. Those were a lot of fun. We had the JROTC Marine Corp Ball to attend with my son. It is his senior year & it brought me to tears to see him lead the honor guard on that night. It makes me so sad to be experiencing all his "lasts" in high school. :( Even though all new life experiences will start to take place. :) This year is flying by so fast. He will be grduated & off to boot camp before we know it.
I know there is probably a ton of stuff I am leaving out. I didn't realize how long I have been away from this. I promise to be back soon. Oh and all you stampers out there. Missy from LiL Missy Primitives turned me on to a new Stamp Store. Amuse stamps are so fun & whimsical. They partner with Elzybells which also have the absolute cutest girlie stamps. Go check them out. I joined their yahoo group & it has been so much fun.
Well like I said before....have the Happiest of Thanksgivings! Be safe & have fun. Make lots of memories with your friends & loved ones. See ya soon! *Ü*

Argh

I am a little frustrated with the blogging process. I am new to this & have had to go to tutorials to get myself up to this speed so far. I am frustrated that I cannot find any tips on how you get the email addys from your people commenting. I would like to be able to respond & thank them when they post. Unfortunately I have not been able to decipher that one.

I just want you all to know that I am getting your comments. Thank you so much for taking the time to come visit me & write me. I appreciate your messages & time. I will try & get this figured out soon. :)

Halloween Party

Hey you guys....

Remember the party I was talking about having for my son's birthday? The Halloween/Birthday party combo with the neighbors? Well we had it last weekend & the kids loved it. They wore their costumes & we judged all of them. There was some great
ones. My son had his heart set on a grim reaper but at the last minute decided on an alien....go figure! Here he is....

I have to show you this cake I made for the party. My neighbor wanted something creepy. Well my hubby loves Halloween & has been collecting gore items for quite some time. Well my neighbor picked up these gummy mice & asked me to use them on the cake. I had an idea but wasn't sure how successful it would be. Had I had more time to plan it could of been out of this world. I was very excited to see the end result. The kids absolutely flipped over it so that made it all worth while. Now to think of something for next year thats bigger & better :)

It was so fun watching the kids bob for apples. Kids dont get to do those kinds of things anymore.

As for me I am tired & glad it's over for another year. We still have Halloween night but I enjoy going out with my son...he still gets excited over it. :) I am just hoping it warms up a bit. It has been in the mid 20's here & thats just too cold to walk around outside for candy. LOL I saw this in someone elses blog & loved it....gotta love Maxine!

My Apologies

Hi Everyone~

I have to apologize for being gone for so long. Life kind of took over & ran with me. LOL I never intended to go this long without posting. What a whirlwind it has been here the last few weeks.

For starters I had my Dad & Stepmom Debbie come for a visit. It was so nice to have them here in our new house (well new to us). ;) They haven't been up in 2 years. We had such a great visit. You have to love having your Daddy around. He was so helpful with a lot of my crafting & household things that needed done. I love my Dad because he hates to sit around & is always willing to help out with whatever needs to be done. We had a great visit!

Well, after my Dad & Debbie left my hubbies brother John & family arrived in town for hunting season. We had a nice visit with them as well. We moved up here with them 4 1/2 years ago & have never regretted it. I dont miss the hectic lifestyle of San Diego. It is so peaceful & beautiful here in Northern Idaho. Anyways, they had to move back to San Diego a year ago & they have been homesick ever since. We are hoping that they can get back up here in the next year.

After all that...... the fires started. I would say that almost all of my family & friends in San Diego have been affected by it. My Dad was evacuated as well as several friends. It has been pretty horrific, the damage it has done. You wouldn't think the fires would get that big after having a huge one 4 year ago. It is just heartbreaking to see the damage it has done. I feel so bad for those firefighters.....they have to be exhausted. Keep them all in your prayers please. :)

So, like I said, it has been a crazy few weeks. I am happy to say I am back to crafting like a mad woman. We are currently having the Prim Mart Online Holiday Craft Fair.

My friend Marissa is the BEST! She invited me to share her booth with her. You will have to come see all of our creations. :) Our booth is under Raggedy Cabin & Country Creek Creations.

I am also in another booth with all my friends from PCCF-Primitive & Country Crafting Friends.

We have a lot of fun items there as well. You can get so much holiday shopping done. I can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner YIKES! Please try & stop by. I would love to hear what you think of our booths.

I better get back to work. I have some new dollies & ornies that I have been sewing up. I will share a peek at them. Hope all of you are having a wonderful week. Be safe. Talk to you soon. Toodles *Ü*

My Naked Kingdom

Welcome to the Kingdom of Nakedness.....
I told you that I have a lot of projects in the works. Look at all these nekked babies sitting around freezin their hineys off. These are just a few of my projects in the works. I have set them all out so they can look at me & beg to be finished. LOL I am hoping, with them sitting here, I will continue to work on them one at a time until they all are dressed & ready for new homes. :)

I still have four other painting projects that I am in the middle of too. Multi tasking is the word for the day! Hahaha

Well, lets see how far I get today! Happy crafting!!!!

So Much Work

so little time!!!! It seems that the holiday season has kicked into full force. I have so much to do to get ready for the upcoming season & holiday shows. I have my first show in a month & am so not ready! Argh! I will be in & out until I get some stuff whipped up.

I am also trying to coordinate a Halloween/Birthday party for my son Travis' 10th birthday. We are trying to pull it off as a carnival theme. I am super excited about it!!! We are planning all kinds of games & contests. I want to try & get some of the props for the party built too. We have a cake walk planned along with bobbing for apples, fishing game, sandbag throw & costume contest! The kids are really looking forward to it. I will share pictures when it gets closer. What are some of your plans for Halloween? I am looking for suggestions for games & contests too. So email me!

I am not sure if I told you that my Dad & Stepmom are visiting from San Diego...but she brought her camera up to snap some pictures of my oldest son Taylor for his senior pictures. We went up to the Indian Mission here in town & took a few. They came out spectacular. It will be so hard to choose. I also had her snap some candid family ones. I think they came out cute for last minute planning. :)

Well I best get back to work.....will pop in soon to share completed projects. I have set a goal to get a few things done this week. Well a girl can dream cant she??? Hope your day is productive & fun! Until later.......

Good Saturday Afternoon

Well, last night was my first quilting class. It was so much fun! I haven't taken a quilting class in quite some time. I have had a stack of these gorgeous pink & brown fat quarters that have been calling my name. :) I have been saving them for something special. Well, after racking my brain on what to do with them...I finally decided to do the Turning Twenty Around The Block by Tricia Cribbs. It is such a cute pattern. I have pictures of the fabrics...aren't they cute??

Today I am determined to get downstairs & get some painting done too. These fairs are fast on my tail & I am far from ready. Hubby has to work a double shift so I should have lots of ME time to work. Will share some of the projects once I get them completed.

Oh I wanted to share the cutest gift ever. I am in a Halloween Swap in one of my Ebay groups. We are to exchange Halloween treat sacks filled with one prim item of choice & goodie treats. I was so excited to go out to my front porch & find a package. Here is my awesome gift from my friend Denni of Denni Doodles. She is so darn cute! I just love her. I just purchased this pattern from Denni this week. Thank you Denni. :) Go visit her shop & check out all her awesome patterns & dollies. The link is in my fav's.
Well I better get back to work. Hope your day is full of fun & most productive.

What Fun...

we had yesterday. My hubby & I spent the day together & had a blast. I was so excited because I got to go fabric shopping. (My absolute most favorite thing to do next to scrapbook goodie shopping). *Ü* I am thrilled that I found the Michael Miller "Dick & Jane" line. I have been wanting it forever. I have a new dollie in mind for this set. I also found some gorgeous Christmas fabric for some dollies to come for the holidays. Aren't the colors rich & beautiful. I am always on a search for great black homespuns. I found these & snatched them up right away. I cant wait to get back to work on some upcoming designs. Will be back soon hopefully with a new dollie to show off. *Ü* Have a great day!

Now that the kids are back in school I am hoping to have more time for crafting & visiting everyoneelses blogs. I cannot wait! Well I better get back to work. I have dollies that need dressing & some seasonal door greeters that need sanding & painting. Hope to be back soon. Have a great night!
