Getting Motivated

I decided I would put my pics up of the three projects that I have in the works at the moment. I know I am supposed to do it on Monday but I didn't get in here this week until yesterday. *Shame* :)

I figured since hubby is on patrol tonight & just announced he is working Sunday too....that it would give me some time to (hopefully) get these done before Monday. Oh and don't doubt for a minute that I wont have one for Monday either. Hahaha I am the queen of WIP's (works in progress). LOL So I have to get it in gear. I need to stay focused, stay motivated, hydrated & well stocked in snacks. Just Kidding! I really am loving this challenge. Thanks Steph!

On another note, I wanted to show you this adorable card my stepmom sent me today. It made me cry. I believe thats me in the picture and aren't the shoes soooo cute. She is a wondeful photographer as you see in all the pics of my family on here. Well things have kind of been a little rough around here with lack of work, small town living and our impending move back to San Diego :( If you haven't been in the loop....hubby has decided to uproot us from our beautiful small town living (poor but small town) for the last five years in hopes of making more $$ & having some sort of future. I am none too happy about it other than the fact we will be home with our family & friends & my hubby will be happier. Where we live is gorgeous & quaint but the economy goes hand in hand with that. It has been such a struggle since we got here five years ago. Hopefully this will be better for us in the long run. *Keeping fingers crossed & saying prayers*. Anyways, I was talking to my dad & stepmom & got really emotional over it all. So I open this card & the outpouring of love & kindness was just too much for me to take. It was such a beautiful card & it just warmed my heart when I needed it the most. Now everytime I look at this card it makes me smile. :)
*Up above on the left is my bunny box. Middle pic is my ornie order from Etsy. Right pic is my bunnies from a new pattern from Heartspun Treasure Primitives. Must have these done by Monday! ;)

Like I said.... I better get a move on.....lots of work to do. Please email if you decide to take part in our little challenge. It will be lots of fun keeping up with all of our processes and finished projects.

It's Good To Be Back

Well, it's good to be back. Sheesh! I never intended to be gone for this long. With the holidays, conventions & just plain ol sickness my absense just grew & grew! I am glad to be back. Woo Hoo! I promised myself I was gonna get in here & get busy.....shake things up a bit!

First off Steph, from Sunshine N Ravioli, has started a Monday Blog called Monkey In The Middle. It is a way to post all of your WIP's (works in progress). She is hoping that it will motivate her to get things done. Well I loved the idea & have adopted it too. I will post every monday what I am working on so you can share my progress with me. Be happy to start your own MITM. Steph had this great graphic & said we could use it. So go ahead & grab it if you want to start your own up. I am thinking...what the heck...if this motivates me to get something done...then there is no loss there. Hahaha

I have gotten bitten by the scrapbooking/stamping bug again. After dragging all of my supplies....and I do mean dragging...up from the basement. I have been on a paper bag book frenzy! I am loving it! I just finished a book for my niece Jesica for her birthday. I absolutley love it. I also made my friend Marissa two of them for a Christmas swap & fell in love. I am so sad to say that I forgot to take pics of those albums. Kind of bummed since they were my firsts. I am sure Rissa would copy them for me if I beg her. :) She has been having some computer problems. So maybe once she is up & running again she will do that. She is the biggest sweetie around. LOL...I am adding pics of Jesica's book that I finished. I am currently working on another one for my niece Carolynne whose b-day is coming in March. I figure these teenage girls will love putting their pics & mementos into them.

Well I certainly have been a little long winded. Sorry! I am just excited about all of the things that I have been doing. After being sick for so long....it sure is good to be back up & crafting.
Well I am off to work on my album. I also have some more bunnies in the works. I will hopefully get these bunnies listed on my Ebay & Etsy site by the end of the weekend. Here are two bunnies that I did from Missy's..... free pattern. I just love them. I may list them again....but not sure if I will. I just may keep these cuties for myself!

Well have a terrific day & glad to be back. Toodles

Getting Ready For

all the festivities?? I have done my shopping & am readying myself for all the prepping. :) We will be having Thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws so there isn't going to be too much that has to be done. We are planning a home dinner for the weekend with all the trimmings. Now thats when the work will begin. LOL I wanted to share with you a couple of pictures that I took at the in-laws a couple of weeks ago. My MIL has a huge following of turkeys that she feeds. The group has tripled in size since we moved here 4 1/2 years ago. They now even have a couple albino looking turkeys. Also the blue on the turkeys face means they are courting the female turkeys. When we lived next door we loved feeding them every morning. They are gorgeous creatures. My MIL wont let anyone with a gun near them. I am kind of glad. It's nice to have them around & enjoy the beauty they bring us. :) I am wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving Day full of happy memories. Be safe & have fun!

I haven't been on in so long. It has been so busy around the homefront. I have had a few craft fairs going on. Those were a lot of fun. We had the JROTC Marine Corp Ball to attend with my son. It is his senior year & it brought me to tears to see him lead the honor guard on that night. It makes me so sad to be experiencing all his "lasts" in high school. :( Even though all new life experiences will start to take place. :) This year is flying by so fast. He will be grduated & off to boot camp before we know it.
I know there is probably a ton of stuff I am leaving out. I didn't realize how long I have been away from this. I promise to be back soon. Oh and all you stampers out there. Missy from LiL Missy Primitives turned me on to a new Stamp Store. Amuse stamps are so fun & whimsical. They partner with Elzybells which also have the absolute cutest girlie stamps. Go check them out. I joined their yahoo group & it has been so much fun.
Well like I said before....have the Happiest of Thanksgivings! Be safe & have fun. Make lots of memories with your friends & loved ones. See ya soon! *Ü*

Argh

I am a little frustrated with the blogging process. I am new to this & have had to go to tutorials to get myself up to this speed so far. I am frustrated that I cannot find any tips on how you get the email addys from your people commenting. I would like to be able to respond & thank them when they post. Unfortunately I have not been able to decipher that one.

I just want you all to know that I am getting your comments. Thank you so much for taking the time to come visit me & write me. I appreciate your messages & time. I will try & get this figured out soon. :)

Halloween Party

Hey you guys....

Remember the party I was talking about having for my son's birthday? The Halloween/Birthday party combo with the neighbors? Well we had it last weekend & the kids loved it. They wore their costumes & we judged all of them. There was some great
ones. My son had his heart set on a grim reaper but at the last minute decided on an alien....go figure! Here he is....

I have to show you this cake I made for the party. My neighbor wanted something creepy. Well my hubby loves Halloween & has been collecting gore items for quite some time. Well my neighbor picked up these gummy mice & asked me to use them on the cake. I had an idea but wasn't sure how successful it would be. Had I had more time to plan it could of been out of this world. I was very excited to see the end result. The kids absolutely flipped over it so that made it all worth while. Now to think of something for next year thats bigger & better :)

It was so fun watching the kids bob for apples. Kids dont get to do those kinds of things anymore.

As for me I am tired & glad it's over for another year. We still have Halloween night but I enjoy going out with my son...he still gets excited over it. :) I am just hoping it warms up a bit. It has been in the mid 20's here & thats just too cold to walk around outside for candy. LOL I saw this in someone elses blog & loved it....gotta love Maxine!

My Apologies

Hi Everyone~

I have to apologize for being gone for so long. Life kind of took over & ran with me. LOL I never intended to go this long without posting. What a whirlwind it has been here the last few weeks.

For starters I had my Dad & Stepmom Debbie come for a visit. It was so nice to have them here in our new house (well new to us). ;) They haven't been up in 2 years. We had such a great visit. You have to love having your Daddy around. He was so helpful with a lot of my crafting & household things that needed done. I love my Dad because he hates to sit around & is always willing to help out with whatever needs to be done. We had a great visit!

Well, after my Dad & Debbie left my hubbies brother John & family arrived in town for hunting season. We had a nice visit with them as well. We moved up here with them 4 1/2 years ago & have never regretted it. I dont miss the hectic lifestyle of San Diego. It is so peaceful & beautiful here in Northern Idaho. Anyways, they had to move back to San Diego a year ago & they have been homesick ever since. We are hoping that they can get back up here in the next year.

After all that...... the fires started. I would say that almost all of my family & friends in San Diego have been affected by it. My Dad was evacuated as well as several friends. It has been pretty horrific, the damage it has done. You wouldn't think the fires would get that big after having a huge one 4 year ago. It is just heartbreaking to see the damage it has done. I feel so bad for those firefighters.....they have to be exhausted. Keep them all in your prayers please. :)

So, like I said, it has been a crazy few weeks. I am happy to say I am back to crafting like a mad woman. We are currently having the Prim Mart Online Holiday Craft Fair.

My friend Marissa is the BEST! She invited me to share her booth with her. You will have to come see all of our creations. :) Our booth is under Raggedy Cabin & Country Creek Creations.

I am also in another booth with all my friends from PCCF-Primitive & Country Crafting Friends.

We have a lot of fun items there as well. You can get so much holiday shopping done. I can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner YIKES! Please try & stop by. I would love to hear what you think of our booths.

I better get back to work. I have some new dollies & ornies that I have been sewing up. I will share a peek at them. Hope all of you are having a wonderful week. Be safe. Talk to you soon. Toodles *Ü*
